Development assessment

A development assessment is useful when you want to check the potential of one of your employees. We make a strength/weakness analysis on the capacities of your employee to show what the strengths of him or her are and what sort of work interests him/her the most.
The aim of development assessment is to, in the shortest time span possible, by means of a variety of questionnaires, tests and practical assessment assignments, give an overview of someone’s possibilities and limitations.

Approach

During an intake interview, we formulate the questions of your organisation and employee in clear and unambiguous words. We make an appointment for a development assessment. The candidate receives homework, with the request of handing it in on the assessment day. The time between the intake interview and the development assessment is at least one week. By using specific questions, we determine an assessment program.

The development assessment consists of:

  • Capacity tests with a time limit
  • Personality questionnaires
  • Fields of interest-questionnaires
  • Practical assignments, for instance doing a written assignment, writing a policy document, a planning assignment or an interview (role-playing)
  • Extensive interview, in which the homework assignments will be discussed

Within seven working days after the assessment, there will be a meeting discussing the results and the homework assignments. A draft of the report will be drawn up, to which the candidate can add comments. The definitive report will be drawn up on the same day.

After receiving permission from the candidate, we will send the assessment report to the client. The candidate will be the first to view the results and the report. Sometimes candidates prefer if only the main points are reported to the employer.
In that case, we will draw up and send a shortened version of the report to the client. If requested, we will gladly give a more detailed explanation of the report.
