Professional Selling Skills
“Salesmanship is a trade for which you have to be cut out for"
“You can’t learn salesmanship. You either know how to do it, or you don’t”
These are just a few remarks that are often made about salesmanship. And, to a certain extent it is true that you need to have a certain aptitude to become a good salesman. But that aptitude is certainly not enough to excel, let alone coming across as a professional.
Salesmanship is a skill you can learn and which you need to learn as a salesman. In general, this will happen in practice through ‘trial and error’. But the fundaments of proper salesmanship are established in this training. Not just to save time, but more importantly to keep too many customers from being confronted with the 'trial and error'-approach.
Experienced salesmen can also profit from this training. For them, this training will be a welcome refresher course, and it will fine-tune the skills and habits that they have developed during their career. In addition, this training is also valuable for sales managers, who can use the newly gained insights and skills to coach their employees after this training.
